You recently bought a new computer for your flat but it did not work. You phoned the shop but no action was taken. Write a letter to the shop manager. In your letter
• describe the problem with the computer
• explain what happened’ when you phoned the shop
• say what you would like the manager to do.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter in regard to the computer which I bought from your shop last Sunday. Although it was tested at the showroom before handing over to me, somehow it did not work at my flat. I bought this computer so that I could work on my official presentations at home which I am not able to do in this current situation. I even called at your shop and ask for the support, but no help has been done so far.
Let me explain the problem in more detail. Last Sunday, I bought a Lenovo computer with configurations of I7 processor, 16 Gigabytes Random Access Memory and 500 Gigabytes Read Only Memory. At the time of purchase, the salesman has given me proper demonstrations regarding the installation of the computer; I followed the same instructions while assembling the computer parts at home. Now, when I am trying to switch on the power button of the Central Processing Unit; the power button is not lighting up. I called at your office to raise a complaint and the receptionist had mentioned that a technician would be sent on next day morning, but already five days are gone, and I have not received any update on my complaint yet.
As you are the manager of this showroom, I request you to please get this computer replaced because it is under a one-year guarantee. I request you to take a quick action on this as my office work is getting affected.
I am looking forward to your prompt action.
Yours faithfully,
Harman Kaur
