The bar chart illustrates, the amount of annual visitors in national gallery, Victoria and Albert museum, and British museum in London from 2007 to 2012. Units are measured in millions.
Overall, it has been clear from the graph that, there were many fluctuations in visitors over the six years in three museums. While, the number of visitors increased in national gallery and the amount of visitors declined in Victoria and Albert museum. Whereas, British museum makes up the tourist number after some reduction in first year.
In 2007 and 2008 the total count of guests in Victoria and Albert museum was the highest position (approximately 13 million) among the other museums. However, there were moderate reduction in numbers of visitors in the following years and reached to about 7 million in 2010. While, for the next two years the proportion of tourists slightly went up and finished to 10 million at the end of the period.
National gallery account for the lowest number of visitors in 2007 with around 6 million. Whilst, British museum has nearly 13 million visitors at the beginning period which plummet to just above 6 million by 2009 and remained relatively stable with below 10 million up to 2010. Moreover, the visitation data of national gallery and British museum were surged in the next consecutive years and finished to about 16 million and 14 million in 2012.
