Fire plan for the second floor
The map illustrates an evacuation plan in case of fire emergency for the second floor with seven bedrooms.
It is noticeable that although this house is equipped with a lift, residents are not allowed to use it but follow escape routes in case of fire.
The plan works on the ideas that people must run to the nearest stairs to run down and gather at meeting spots if a fire occurs. The shortest and fastest escape way for residents living three rooms (1, 2 and 3), which are in the left-hand side of the floor is the stairs at the bottom left-hand corner. After descending these stairs, people are supposed to meet at the first meeting point which is immediately on the right.
On the other side of the floor, there are also another stairs between the 7th room (in the top right corner) and the lift. The stairs are considered to be the quickest escape routes for those who live in rooms 4 to 7 and those who are about to use the lift when a fire accident happens. People will present at the meeting place 2 after running down these stairs.
