The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the percentage of greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The first pie chart represent the typical power usage in Australian homes while the second one present data about greenhouse gas emitted by those six power types. Overall, Heating is the main source of energy in Australia, while water heating hold the highest proportion as gas emitter from greenhouses. Additionally, cooling is the lowest in both charts.
It is clear from the energy chart that heating consume energy the highest with 42%. Surprisingly, it only caused 15% of the total gas emission. Water heating is the main gas emission in Australia and came as the second reason to utilize power with average of one-third (30%) for energy and gas.
A repetitive scenario can be observed across refrigeration and lighting. Power needed is 7% and 4% while gas emission was 14% and 8% respectively that is the double for both types. Other house items required 15% of the energy. However, their gas emission was near the double at 28%. Cooling energy used and gas emitted was roughly 2%.
