The pie charts show the average consumption of food in the world in 2008 compared to two countries; China and India.

The pie charts given provides information about how much food were consumed over the world in the year of 2008 by comparing the shares of India and China.

Overall, what stands out from the charts is that the processed food constituted the most significant part in both countries making this trend similar to the average of the world. However, nuts and seeds were considered as the least preferable type of food as most countries in the world, while chinese were least likely to use animal food.

Looking at the details, it is quite noticeable that in India, nuts and seeds were not mostly used as the other types of foods constituting 11% which was approximately three as much as the share of world shares and 8 % less than that of China. Regarding the remaining types of food, what is remarkable for charts is that the percentages of animal food in the World and India were nearly equal being almost 10% higher than that in China. Finally, the proportion of vegetables and fruits in China accounted for 32% which was 3% higher than world avarage while that in India was 2% less than the quarter of the all types of food.
