In East Asia, the figure for males nearly doubled that of Carribean, standing at 20%, while females accounted for approximately 8%.
On the other hand, the rates of unschooled people in Sub-Saharan Africa were 30% and 48% respectively for men and women. A rough similar proportion was seen in Arab States, where the figure for females almost doubled that for males, 52% and 28% respectively.
