Overall, the amount of mobile phone owner increased sharply in each country over the period. However, this figure varied significantly across the various nations.
In 2005, the UK, Germany, and Italy had the highest number of people possessing cellphone, at around 4 million. In contrast, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Denmark, France, and Finland had the lowest mobile phone owner amount, varying to just a million.
However, the year 2010 had witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of cell phone possessor. This figures remained highest in Germany, UK, and Italy, at 14, 12 and above 10 million respectively, while in Finland, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands, the figures grew up to approximately 2 million, reaching the same level as Sweden in 2005. There were also considerably increase in the number of people owning mobile phone in Sweden, France, and Spain respectively by about 7, 6 and 5 million.
