The graph illustrates the growth of the population from years 2000 to the present year. It also depicts the prediction of the population growth from the present year to the year 2050.
At the year 2000, the population of China was recorded approximately 1.25 billion which is greater than India’s population of 1 billion. The population of both countries showed an increase approximately until the year 2028. At the same year, the population of both countries is predicted to be equal which is predicted to be 1.45 billion.
After the year 2028, the population of China is estimated to decrease until the year 2050. Whereas, India’s population is expected to increase till 2050. It is estimated to be around 1.6 billion greater than China’s expected population of 1.45 billion.
Over the years 2000 to 2050 the population of India is predicted to increase steadily,whereas the population of China is expected to peak till 2030 and show a dip in population till 2050.
