In general, there was an upward in the trend of Vietnamese students in France and America, whereas the opposite was true to students arrived in Russia. However, the most striking feature from the graph in which the US is the most attractive destination for Vietnamese student compared to two remainders during the given period.
In 2000, the number of Vietnamese citizens learning in France hit the highest point, about 3.5 million. Standing at 3 million, the grade of Vietnamese learners enrolling in Russia compared to double of learners in American. Over the next 5-years, a remarkable increase of 2 million people showed the grade Vietnamese people learning in America. By contrast, Russia and France experienced a slight fall of 2.2 million and 2.5 million.
During the 5-years, the index of Vietnamese scholars educating in the US saw a significant growth of 3 million, while the figure for Russia decreases considerably to about 1.8 million. After declining moderately, the stability of 2.5 million has seen in the level of Vietnamese students coming to France. The period of 5 years, the general trend was upward. However, the most attractive country, drawing Vietnamese’s attention is America, about 5 million. At the same time, the figure for France and Russia accounted for respectively 4.5 million and 2.5 million.
