This figure for Canada and Central and South America are 14.84% and 8.12% respectively, whereas the percentage for Eastern Europe and Africa are around 6.4%. Other areas’ amount of held oil resources are just under 3%.
By contrast to the amount of stored oil, the majority of total world annual oil consumption comes to Asia (26.21%) and the United States (25.48%). The figure for Western Europe is 19.24%, which places this area into the third place. Meanwhile, Middle East, Central and South America, and Eastern Europe consume between 6% and 7% of oil resources, and other areas’ percentages do not exceed 4%.
