All students should follow the same curriculum designed by the nation before entering college
The given statement says that, A nation should require all of its students to study the same curriculum until they enter college. These are the days where, people choose what is interesting and what makes them go beyond their imagination. I do not agree with the statement that is provided. Interests of a student must be left to themselves and we need to encourage the path that they choose.
There are many students in the present generation who were bound by the curriculum designed by their nation, it should be purely dependent on the students regarding to choose on their interests. Some of them show interest in some particular kind of subjects and other don not. At the end, all of the students do not show same kind of interest in the curriculum that is being designed by the nation. So, in order to make them go in the path that they like, we need to give motivation to the students. There are many situations in which I disagree to this statement, Some of them are mentioned below.
Let us consider a student who had interests in sports, then for sure, the student will definitely show some profound interest in the curriculum that contains sports in it. While the other students who love sketching, will choose the curriculum that best suits for them. Along with the studies, they also show a major interest in the subjects that makes them interesting. So, we can consider these situations in which the national curriculum for all students fails to satisfy the students. However there are some kind of exceptions in some nations, where major portion of students show interest in some kind of activities which are not supposed for them and end up in nothing. For the students of these nations(especially backward) there should be a strict curriculum for all the students and making them follow a best path that is being designed by the national curriculum. Although there will be some outstanding students who might not like this. But, for the major portion of students and to make them fulfil the dreams of their parents and of their own, this kind of curriculum is necessary.
Therefore, for the designing of curriculum by a nation, it should consider the interests of the students before it is being designed. Hence, we can expect a good number of students choosing the curiculum that they are interested in. By this kind of different curriculum for different students, the students end up in making their lives brighter and show more interest in the curriculum that they choose as the best suit for them.
