The diagram provides information about three different types of phone call durations in the United Kingdom between 1995 and 2002. Overall, there were two kinds of telephone inquiries (cellular and national and international) experienced an increasing trend, while the local call was fluctuating. In addition, the highest number of phone call duration observed in 1999.
The local – fixed-line witnessed as the biggest number of phone call duration. In first years, it stood at approximately 70 million. Then, in three following years (1996 to 1999), the figure showed a similar pattern, increasing at around 5 million a year, and, reached to the peak number in 1999 (90 million). Following which, the figure decreased steadily and ending the period at around 85 million in 2002.
In 1995, the figure for the national and international call was half that of the local. Then, it experienced a slight increase (around 4 million per year) from 1996 to 2001 and finished 65 million in the last year. Furthermore, the figure for the mobile call was the lowest among the other two. it stood just below 5 million in 1995 and accounted for just about 48 million in 2002.
