On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
describe the item you lost
explain how you lost it
tell the insurance company what you want them to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I have been using gold travel insurance plan of your renowned company for the last two years. My policy number is A1004567 and it covers the insurance of lost items during travel up to the amount of 3 lakhs. To bring in your notice, I want to acquire the claim for my laptop which was lost during my visit to Jaipur last week.
It was the grey DELL laptop with model number HP608. I brought it for Rs.35000 last month from Vijay Sales, Gurgaon. This incident happened while my one day visit to Jaipur on 1st September. I carried my laptop because I had to accomplish my assigned office tasks. During the journey, we had a 30 minutes stay at Rajouri Garden, where we had snacks and when we were about to check out I noticed my laptop bag was missing. We searched for it for about one hour but all went in vain. Consequently, I registered a police complaint and I have attached a copy of the FIR and the invoice to this letter.
As per the policy guidelines, a claim for lost laptop is covered, I request you to approve my claim and compensate me for the full value of it. If you need any more information, please call me on my number: 9478682521.
Thank you for your time and support.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Prabhjot
