Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The pie chart above illustrates the proportion of numerous reasons why people choose cycling or driving to work.
In general, it can be clearly seen from the chart that the most popular reason why people cycle to their office is on account of improving their health and lessening reducing the amount of pollution. Another interesting point is that most people decide to use their cars to work as this brings to them comfort.
In terms of cycling, it is easy to see that the proportion of people who choose cycling in order to take care of their fitness is as same as the proportion of the ones who are aware of saving the environment, with a percentage of 30%. Besides, there are some other factors that people consider when cycling: no related-parking dilemmas, no exorbitant fees, and higher speed. These factors are comparatively lower in percentage than the two mentioned factors, with 15%, 13%, and 12% respectively.
In contrast to this, there are also multiple reasons that determine people’s choices. Among them, the highest percentage of driving choices belongs to its satisfaction comfort nature with 40%, compared to 21% of the related-distance factor. While the number of people think that driving is faster than cycling and their need of bringing office supplies along to work has the same proportion, there is merely a little agreeing that driving is safer than cycling, which occupies 11% of all.
