The diagram below shows a neighborhood before and after a mall was constructed.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams illustrate changes that happened in a neighborhood after a mall was built. The new mall took up space where previously there had been other things.
Before the mall was built, there were two stores on Main Street-a bookstore and a shoe store. Behind the stores, there was an area of woods. Next to the woods, there was a park with a lake in the middle. Across the street from the stores and the park, there were houses along Main Street. Behind those houses were more houses along Oak Street.
After the mall was built, things along Main Street looked quite different. The mall was built where the two stores, the woods, and part of the park had been before. The rest of the park was turned into a parking lot, and the lake was removed. Across the street from the mall, another parking lot was built in a place where houses had been before. The rest of the houses on Main Street and all the Houses on Oak Street did not change.
