The bar chart illustrates the proportion of households in owned in contrast with the rented accommodations during 1918 to 2011 in two countries, the England and Wales.
Overall, it can be concluded from the chart that the ability for buying houses increased during the period while people were reluctant to rent accommodations.
At the beginning year, over third-fourth of English citizens were living in rented homes. From 1939 to 1953 approximately 70 percent of people were paying loans while this percentage witnessed a significant decrease to about 30 percent in 2011 and after that there was a little jump in 2011 for 4 percent.
On the other side, by reducing the proportion of loans consequently, more people tend to buy a house. In 1918 just a bit above than 20 percent of people had their own houses and this trend grew up. In 1971 the number of householders in both sections were equal however, the owner percentage surpassed. it can be observed that in 2001 the difference between two sectors reached 40 percent, 68 percent for owners and rest of that were other side.
