Dear Jonathan
It’s been so long since we last were in touch and I have not forgotten all the wonderful times we spend together last year.
I completely understand that you have difficulties in communicating with your colleagues at workplace since you have just enter the new company. It is always challenging to introduce yourself to stranger at work place, especially when you are a non-native English speaker. However, you have to conquer the fear of talking to them, other wise you can not work together.
I still remember that when I fist came to my company, I can not look at my colleague’s eye while I was talking to them. I think it was because I have low confidence in myself by that time .Consequently, my co-worker thought I have a very shy personality at that moment. It took me a lot of times and efforts to communicate with them effectively.
In order to tackle this problem, I suggest you attend some social activities with your colleagues after work, such as dinner or sports. This way you can make more friends at work. Meanwhile, you can keep working on your English speaking skill. It could help you gain more confidence in yourself.
It will be great to catch up again soon.
All the best
Bill
