The pie charts below show the online shopping sales for retail sectors in New Zealand in 2003 and 2013.
The pie charts compare the percentage of online sales for 4 different retail sectors in New Zealand in two separate years, 2003 and 2013.
Overall, the online sales for clothes and travel decreased significantly in 2013 whereas sales for books and film/music increased dramatically. It is also noticeable that in 2003 travel was the leading retail sector which was replaced by film/music in 2013.
The online sales for clothes dropped from nearly a quarter in 2003 to 16% in 2013, which comprised the lowest figure for online sales. Similarly, online sales for travel was the highest overall in 2003 at more than a third but declined by 10% to 29% in 2013.
Books' figure was the smallest sale in 2003 at 19% but the number grew slightly to more than a fifth in 2013. The online sales for film/music retail sector was 21% in 2003, however, the number rocketed to approximately a third after ten years.
