The provided pie graph demonstrates the underlying etiologies of worldwide land degradation, while the supplied table gives information about how three methods influenced negatively the land productivity in North America, Europe, and Oceania throughout 1990s.
At the first glance, the percentage of land which was degraded by overgrazing was the most worldwide and in Oceania. Whereas deforestation and over-grazing processes accounting for more than half of land degradation worldwide, they were also the main cause of land unproductivity in Europe and North America, respectively.
It is explicitly observed that 35% of the worldwide land was degraded as a sequel of over-grazing process, which made up the largest part of the chart. Additionally, the percentage of land which was degraded by deforestation and over-grazing approaches was 30% and 28%, respectively.
Turning to the remaining datasets, the percentage of land which was degraded in Europe was 23%, which was the largest percentage in the table. Apart from this, over-grazing process was the main cause accounting for 11.3%. In Oceania, the total land degraded was 13%, which caused mainly by deforestation process. In North America, 5% of the land was degraded, and 3.3% of it was degraded as an eventual impact of over-cultivation method.
