What are your reasons for applying to this program?
I want to apply for this program because, during my previous studies and experiences, I’ve understood that I want to have a broader view of the law. In my vision, the law studies can not be confined to the mere study of the legislation, but they must also embrace the social phenomena always behind them. I firmly believe that law is a social science profoundly interlinked with the others, for this reason, I’m interested in the interdisciplinary approach of this course. I’m particularly focused on the criminal law and criminology area, as I wrote my dissertation about recent developments of the organized crime in Italy; during this work, I discovered my passion for research, and I’m strongly motivated to improve my research skills and methodology to attend the PhD studies and, ultimately, the university career.
