The graph given shows the main sources of energy for USA in 1980 and 1990
The graphs illustrate the proportion of five sources of energy for USA in 1980 and 1990.
Overall, in both the years the most significant sources of energy is observed for oil and natural gas which together
accounted for more than half of total energy sources, while the hydroelectric power and nuclear power has least amount
of energy. In all types of energy there was only minimal change over next 10 years.
The sources of energy for oil comprised of 42% in the year 1980 and this showed a slightly decrease of 33% after 10 years.
In the similar way drop in amount of energy sources was noticed for natural gas which was 26% in 1980 and 25% in 1990.
With regards to the remaining energy sources, coal generated increase in production from 22% in 1980 to
27% in 1990. In the same manner nuclear power doubled there energy production from 5% in 1980 and 10% ten years later.
In addition, the percentage of energy sources for nuclear power remained constant from 1980 to 1990.
