The charts give information about world forest in five different regions
The pie charts compare five different areas, namely South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, in terms of the proportion of global forest and timber.
It is immediately obvious that forests in Africa make up the largest percentage of total world forest, the opposite is true for Europe. Additionally, North America is the country with the biggest amount of timber, while the figure for Africa by far lowest.
Regarding forest, just over half of all forest in the world is found in Africa and North America, at 27% and 25% respectively. In contrast, South America's forests only contribute 16% to the total of forests on the planet and for Europe, this number is 14%. The data for Asia countries is 18%.
Relating to the rates of timber in these areas, North America contains the greatest proportion, at 30%, while 23% and 20% of global wood can be discovered in South America and Europe, sequentially. Despite having the highest percentage of forests in five regions, however, the number of lumber in Africa merely occupies 9% of world timber, which is exactly by half of Asia.
