The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.
The graph and table provides information regarding consumption of water around all over the world and water utilized by two different countries.
In 1900, approximately 50 km3 water was utilized in domestic work and industries which remain same until 1950. After that, there was a gradual increase in water consumption in both areas which was more than 1000 km3 in industrial sector and nearly 500 km3 in domestic sector. The volume of water used in farming was around 500 km3 in 1900 which rose to 3000 km3 in 2000 which was almost double than the industrial use and three times more than the domestic use.
It is clear that Brazil had more population than Congo so, water consumed by much higher (3590 m3) than Democratic Republic of Congo (8 m3). Brazil needed large amount of land whereas very small amount of water used for land.
Overall, it can be seen that water consumed worldwide between 1900 and 2000 increased dramatically. Brazil used much more water than Congo; however the irrigated land was lesser in Congo.
