The purpose of this report is to demonstrate the forest area in each continent around the world from 1990 to 2005 represented in millions of hectares.

Overall, the vast majority of the table was fluctuated during the time period with the upward trend in Europe, while Africa and South America experienced the downward trends.

According to the figure, Europe conveyed the highest number of greenwood land in the world over the 15-year period and it significantly increased from 989 million hectares to 1001 million hectares by 2005. On the contrary, the second-highest, South American, conveyed a moderate decrease from 946 to 882 million hectares of forested land. Similarly, Africa followed the drop from 749 million in 1990 to 691 million in 2005.

Focusing on the remaining continents, Asia, North American, and Oceania held a minority of worldwide green areas. Their wild jungle area remained stable between 1990 and 2005 as shown in the given table.
