The chart illustrated how many hectares of forested land in six different areas from 1990 to 2005.

Overall, there was an increase in the number of hectares in asia and europe, while the opposite trend can be seen in the remaining four regions. In addition, europe was always accounted for the highest figure throughout the studied period.

The number of forested land in Africa started at 749 ha in 1990, after which it experienced a significant decline to 709 ha in 2000, before ending the period at 691 ha in 2005. A similar trend can be observed in the figure for Oceania and South America, which began at 199 ha and 946 ha then plummeted to 197 ha and 882 ha respectively.

576 ha was the land area of asia in 1990, with a subsequent decrease to 570 ha in 2000 before facing a final growth to 584 ha in 2005. The figure for europe underwent the same trend, starting at 989 ha before reaching 1001 ha in the final period.
