It is impossible to deny that social media is constantly changing the way that people interact with one another. With the advent of new technologies that allow for non-simultaneous and distant interaction, people all over the world are now able to build relationships in a way that was formerly not possible. Some might say that this is a negative trend, but this new development opens up for unique and effective connections.

People have built interactive communication not only with their inner circle but around the world. Meanwhile the lecturer argues that according to the data from 1987 and 2004 American people has become more alone, they tend to know less neighboors nowadays and people who has no one to talk almost doubled in between this mentioned time periods and increased to 25%.
