The charts below show the males and females arrested over 5 years and the reasons for the most recent arrests.
The given graphs compare the proportion of arrests that happened on both the sexes, along with a detailed survey on various reasons responsible for the respective arrests over a period of 5 years from 1990 to 1994.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the arrested ratio varies a lot in the context of gender. The majority of males got arrested as compared to females. Although many reasons were interrogated with regard to the arrests, most fell under the category of public drinking.
According to the given illustration, more than a quarter(32%) of males were arrested as against just 9% of females. Despite the involvement of both the genders in the wrong activities, the proportion among males was the highest.
On the other hand, as per the bar graph, out of the seven most recent crimes, women-led men mainly in public drinking, assault, and no answer category by undergoing 38%, 18%, and 7% arrests as opposed 31%, 16%, and 4% men arrests. On the contrary, more men got punished under crimes of drink-drive(26%), breach of order(18%), theft(16%), and for other reasons(19%), which were higher by 10%, 6%, 3%, and 1% respectively as compared to the opposite sex.
