Some say that the most important thing about being rich is that one has the opportunity to help other. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In the developed world, the gap among classes in society is increasing. Because of this, the way how to help others has always been a much-debated topic. It is argued that wealthy people play the best crucial role in supporting other people. While it may work to a certain extent, I would believe that these exist superior aspects of a wealthy life.
It is understandable why some of the rich would lend aid to the needy. The key rationale in favor of this view is that wealthy individuals make a lucrative income, which allows them to allocate a part of their money to assist others. For instance, many Vietnamese high-class actors raise a charity fund. These contributions may curb the difficulties and challenges of the poor, so their lives would be better. Therefore, the ability to support everybody is a good thing in richness.
However, despite living under a huge amount of money and properties, wealthy people could gain more merits than giving other people an aid opportunity. Because they have abundant resources, it helps them enjoy their life and pursue their hobbies and interests like accessing the latest health care or traveling around the world and so on. Another value that the wealthy could receive lots of chances to invest in new fields they have never tried, which might lead them to reach a higher status in the community and achieve more profits. Hence, the life quality of rich people would be improved.
To sum up, it is important that there are people who are willing to help others, but for all argument mentioned above, I suppose that everyone can freely choose how to spend their belongings.
