With the next decade, the price of black and white TV was gradually dropping while the figure for monthly salary witnessed a significantly increase, exceeding that prices of black and white TV and reached 80,000 Yen in 1963. Meanwhile, a single color TV averagely retailed for 180,000 Yen in 1958 and this figured sharply went down to 110,000 Yen at the end of 1963, which is still more than 2 times higher than that of black and white TV in the same year. During the 1963 and 1973, the trajectory of monthly salary was sharply rising, reaching its peak at 180,000 Yen. By comparison, the prices of two types of TV both seen a decline, dropping to 30,000 Yen and 80,000 Yen respectively.
