Overall, it is clear that forested land in Europe was the largest, while that in Oceania was the smallest during 15 years.
The area of Asia and Europe was 576 and 989 millions of hectares, but by 2005 these figures of these two continents had risen to 584 and 1001 millions of hectares. North America had the forest area of 708 millions of hectares in 1990 and then declined by 705 millions of hectares in 2000 and remained at this number.
