The two column charts illustrate kinds of jobs that British graduate and postgraduate students did after finishing a college degree, except for full-time jobs in 2008.
Overall, while the majority of students at both levels went into further study, the least students chosen do voluntary work. In addition, the number of graduate students in the UK did work was far higher than that of postgraduate students in four types of careers.
As can be seen from the first column chart, the number graduate students pursued study in this year was consistently the highest, at exactly 29665, which was just over 11900 students doing part-time work, at 17735 people. Next came being unemployed, which accounted for 16235 graduates. Nevertheless, there were only 3500 students applying for voluntary work in 2008.
Regarding another chart, this period witnessed the highest figure for British postgraduates continuing to study, at 2725 people, which was followed by part-time work (2535 people). The third one was unemployment, which made up 1625 students. However, only under 350 postgraduate students did voluntary work
