The maps compare the development of Stokeford village in the years 1930 and 2010.
As can be seen from the maps, the number of houses grew significantly, while the agricultural lands disappeared.
The first noticeable feature is that in 1930, there were only several houses on both sides of the road, which has connected a bridge to the north-east of the village. Furthermore, two areas of farmland in the south-west and north-east of the village vanished to make way for residential areas with new roads being constructed.
In addition, the local shops were demolished to build new houses and streets, but the post office still remained. The primary school opposite the post office was expanded with two blocks in 2010 compared to 1930. To the southeast of the map, there were some gardens with a larger house in 1930. However, after an 80-year period, they were replaced by a retirement home with two extra buildings added to the previous three.
