The diagrams below show two methods of collecting water for irrigation purposes.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features ad make comparisons where relevant
The pictures illustrates the comparison between two different ways of collecting water cultivation purposes by swing basket with ropes and bucket technique.
First of all, picture A indicates the swing basket process. Two people stand near the water source which has a depth of about 1-2 meters.Next , they also hold the ropes connecting with the basket made of bamboo or leather.Besides, the farmers will hold the ends of them to lower the basket down to scoop water. After the basket is filled with water, two peasants will pull it up and swing it over to the irrigation channel to the arable lands.
Moving to the rope and bucket technique, it is more complicated than the swing basket method. This technique requires such great strengths from animals such as cows, buffaloes,...as well as main usage of many tools such as slope, bucket, pulley, rollers. To begin with, an ox, standing near a well which had already been digged to the depths under 50 meters, is attached to the pulley. The second step is when the ox walks downhill, the rollers will turn.It leads to the bucket will be pulled up and the irrigation channels will be poured by water.
Both of two manners use same technique like force to cultivate fields and both have simple stage. However, there are differences between two of them like the depth of water, the implementers and tools, which also show highly intelligent methods that people in rural area use to tackle the collecting water problem for irrigation purposes without motorized equipments
