Overall, it can be seen that Walking was mostly prefered by the children in 1990. Whereas, Car passenger was the least choice of the children but by the 2010 Car passenger was at the peak of than other modes of transportation.
In the year 1990, Children used to walk more back and forth to the school as it has approximately 12.2 millions trips per year was done. While bus, cycling, and walking and bus only had about 7 millions,6.1 millions and 5.9 milliions respectively. On the other hand, Car passenger was the least favourite on for the children.
In contrast to 2010, Car passenger shows dramatic increase in the number of trips reaching around 11 millions while Walking had dropped halve a millions from 12 to 6 millions by 2010. Other modes of transportation like bus, walking and bus are still below 6 millions. Cycling became one of less used transport means.
