IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample Answer Essay IELTS Cambridge 15: Tourists Visiting a Caribbean Island (IELTS Cambridge 15)
This report derives from the line graph which illustrates the number of tourists travelled in Caribbean Island according to their preference to stay on cruise ship and Island over seven years period from 2010 to 2017.
Broadly speaking, it is clearly seen that the number of visitors residing on the Island and cruise ships surged which leads to increase in the sum of travelers visited Caribbean Island throughout the period.
Notably, in the first year, the number tourists lived on the Isle was double than stayed on cruise ships which is 0.75 million, 0.25 million respectively that make total number of tourists exactly one million. In the following year, staying on cruise ship number surged by 50% whereas on Island remain unchanged. After two years, travelers preferred to stay on Island so that its number climbing up gradually and reached at highest level 1.5 million in 2013 while number of visitors staying on cruise ship declined by 0.25 million but sum of tourists increased by half million.
From 2013 the number of visitors staying on Island level off for next two years then dropped by 225k in 2016, in the last year it increased and keep previous level. While number residing on cruise ship surged dramatically throughout the time period. In mid of 2015 it surpassed the number of visitors staying on Island and peaked two million in 2017.Because of that increasement total number of tourists skyrocketed to 3.5 million at the end of this survey.
