You recently discovered that there are plans to construct an airport in your locality. Write a letter to the local authority.
In your letter, you should tell:
• explain how you knew about the plans
• describe the negative effect of the construction on your neighbourhood
• suggest a possible solution to the problem.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I, Noah K., am a resident of Dwarika and I am writing this letter to notify a probable problem which may take place as a consequence of the new development by the government resulting into multiple problems.
I have a friend in the government aviation department through whom I came across the sure plans of an airport being constructed in the south-west of the city near Dwarika. Although such a decision will prove fruitful for the residents but it may raise some issues in the locality.
The place selected for the airport construction results into manifold problems. One being traffic congestion, having an airport will add on to the traffics not just during rush hours but it would then be round the clock. Other problem is the disturbance to the residents nearby since the neighbourhood not only includes a residency area but also a school and an old-age home and the people associated will suffer the highest since it will bring a lot of chaos.
Instead of having it in the aforementioned place, I think the best place is on to the other side of the city as the area there is not utilised much and the airport will make a good use of it. Though the land rates are a little hiked there but considering the above problems I suppose it is the most convenient option.
I look forward to taking my appeal to a senior level so such a huge problem can be solved even before it arises. Expecting a prompt action.
Thank you,
Yours faithfully,
Noah K.
