In the past, lectures were used as a way of teaching large numbers of students, but now with the development of technology for education, many people think there is no justification for attending lectures.
A lot of people assume that joining in the lectures is no longer important as this in the past because of the improvement of educational technology. In my opinion, even though people can use technology to gain knowledge instead of going to the lectures, it still need to attend them.
It is irrefutable that when students participate in lectures, they can communicate with each other easily. In terms of "teachers and students", the lecture will tell if the answer is right or wrong and then tell where the student went wrong. Tasks involving reasoning seem to be difficult when studying online. Regarding to the "students and students", when they attend lectures, they can be given a sense of competition to study more from others. It also creates a motivation and happiness for them when connecting with other people.
On the other hand, some people believe that learning online helps students save time and effort. For example: just having a computer or smartphone connected with Internet, students, especially who live in the remote areas and who are busy with the job, can study anytime and anywhere of the day depending on their leisure time. However, in many ways, online lessons have an opposite effect. Some pupils find it vary hard to concentrate on the online speech, maybe they feel difficult to understand because it is not suitable for their level or maybe they will feel discouraged because of not having the connection or they are confused and neglect due to the environment.
To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that there is no doubt that modern technology has added many new ways to reach education to students, but attending lectures will always play a vital role in the life. In the long term, loining in the direct lessons is a more useful method to gain knowledge than online speech.
