The column chart illustrates the results of a survey that has been carried out in Australia regarding the pattern of buying and drinking tea and coffee among the people over a 4 weeks period.
Overall, Melbourne saw the largest proportion of people who drank coffee in a café. Purchasing fresh coffee was the least popular among the residents of all five cities. The consumption of instant coffee, on the other hand, was more popular in some cities than the others.
In Sydney, the majority of the people chose to go to a café for a cup of coffee (just over 60%). This pattern also holds for residents of Melbourne, Brisbane, and Hobart at around 63%, 55%, and 62%, respectively. The second most popular category of was associated with instant coffee with more than 45% but fewer than 55% of the people in all cities opting for this option. However, in Adelaide, the figure for buying coffee at a café was approximately equal to that of instant coffee at around 50%. Finally, In Brisbane and Adelaide, less than 35% of the residents bought fresh coffee. Similarly, fewer than 45% of the population in Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart purchased this kind of coffee for daily consumption.
