TPO-02 - Integrated Writing Task In many organizations, perhaps the best way to approach certain new projects is to assemble a group of people into a team. Having a team of people attack a project offers several advantages. First of all, a group of people
The article states that in doing a project, group working is better way to reach the goal of the project and it is better for companies to create a group of workers to carry out the job. The author provides three reasons to support that. However, the professor explains that group working is not profitable method and working individually is better. He provides an example and refutes each of the writer's reasons.
First of all, the reading claims that a working group with numerous members can perform a project better because each member has an individual knowledge and skill. When these people contribute to do a job they will perform that better. The professor refutes this opinion by saying that in group working sometimes some members carry the others' duties and some others may do not contribute to perform the project.
Secondly, the reading claims that as any part of a group does a function, performing the job will be more quickly than doing it individually. However, the professor says that when a group wants to make a decision to do a job, they have to do a lot of meeting. This matter can make the process more slowly.
Third, the reading says that working in a group is a good opportunity for every members to show his capabilities to other members. The professor opposes this point by saying that sometimes this matter will act reversely because a member tries to convince other members to work on his way. But when the works do not develop in the right way the whole idea will ignore by the other members.
