A first glance at the charts reveals that while the figures for food and beverage as well as video games increased over the 5-year period, the figures for the other two sectors exhibited a drop.
It is explicitly obvious that in 2005, food and beverage section took a large slice of the pie chart with 22%, 5 years later, it increased to 35% . As for the video games sector, the figure rose from 18% to 23% over 5 years.
A quite different picture can be seen in two other sectors. Home furnishings sector accounted for 25% in 2005, then, in 2010, it decreased to only 15%. In 2005, electronics and appliance accounted for the majority of the protion of the online shopping sales for Canadian retailing, with 35%. However, in 2010, the figure decreased by 5% making food and beverage the highest sector.
