The two maps depict some of the development of a city hospital’s transportation infrastructure in the period between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, it is noticeable that three main modifications were made to the hospital’s vehicle access. There were new parking facilities, new roundabouts and the building of a new bus station.
Looking at the changes in more details, there were three bus stops on either side of Hospital Road in 2007. However, by 2010 they were no longer existent and was replaced by a new bus station on the west side of Hospital Road. Furthermore, the most striking change is the appearance of two new roundabouts. The first one was constructed at the three-way junction of Hospital Road and Ring Road, while the second one was located at the four-way intersection of Hospital Road and City Road.
Looking at the other features, new parking facilities that have been upgraded to two parking lots. In 2007, employees and customers utilized the same parking lot, which was situated to the east of Hospital Road and accessible through the Ring Road. On the other hand, a new public parking park was established on the eastern side of the city hospital, while the previous one belonged to staff only.
