The government should lower the budget on the arts in order to allocate more money to education.
To what extent do you agree?
It has been argued that the money dedicated to the arts should be decreased by the authority to spend more money on education. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I will elaborate on why I strongly agree with this statement.
Firstly, by devoting money to education, the governments might encourage deprived people to increase their academic knowledge. Nowadays, the request for admitting to state universities is soaring, and their capacity is limited. Therefore, a large number of students pour into private ones. However, because of the very staggering tuition fee of these colleges, many eager students cannot afford it and deprive of further education. If this money is spent on students’ scholarships or building more state graduate schools, more children are able to register in these free universities.
In addition, the online educational infrastructure will be fortified if this money uses appropriately. Plenty of students, especially those living in remote areas in third-world countries, do not have convenient access to schools or teachers, leading to an increase in the rate of illiterate individuals. Allocating this money to construct an appropriate infrastructure to increase internet access will facilitate their education. It can bring the teachers and books to their smart devices, and they have a partially equal opportunity to learn.
Although some people consider the arts as entertainment and believe they would be crucial for developing children’s mind, the high budget spent on them is not reasonable.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that if more money is devoted to education, more students and children will get benefit from it.
