The chart below provides information about student accommodation at one US university in 2013.

The bar chart given demonstrates undergraduate and graduate students’ living places at one US university in the year 2013.

Overall, while university dormitory was the most popular accommodation for undergraduate students, graduate students commonly chose shared apartments.

There are approximately 4200 undergraduates living in university dormitory, which was the highest number, followed by the figure for sharing apartment undergraduates at about 3900. In sharing apartment data, it is clear that the number of undergraduates is approximately three times as high as the graduates’. About 900 undergraduate students lived with parents while the figure for graduate students is negligible. The amount of undergraduates sharing houses is nearly 1500, which was about 500 higher than that of graduates.

Besides, there are more graduates owning apartments or houses or getting married than undergraduates. To be more specific, the number of graduate students owning houses is around 600, which is twice that of undergraduates. The figures for graduates owning apartments and living with their wife or husband are about 200 and 700 higher than the undergraduates’ data, respectively.
