Essay topics:

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The two plan illustrates the changes happened to the community park since it started operating in 1920 to till today.
From both plans it’s clearly visible that, there are major changes have taken place in Grange Park since it started operating. It can also be understandable that whatever modifications have been carried out are related to modern requirements such as Amphitheatre, café, underground car park.
First of all, we can see there is no change in the entrance in both the plans that is park is having two entrance, which are opposite to each other. In addition to this the rose garden at the left side of the entrance at Arnold Avenue has been removed and replaced by a café. Due to this number of rose gardens are drastically reduced from three number in 1920 to only one on present day. Furthermore the glass house has been replaced by water feature at right bottom corner of the park.
Apart from this we can witness there is a major change in the facility given to music lover’s, such as stage of musicians has been completely replace by modern facility like amphitheater’s which can be utilized to arrange concerts. Apart from this, park has been modified with respect to seating arrangements. Previously seats where located at the boundary of the park, but now every seating facilities are shifted to center of the park.
To sum it up, the Grange Park has just got upgraded to Modern Park with lot of modifications.
