the charts illustrate how adolescents spent their time using their own smartphone in 4 different purposes during the period of 4 years.
overall, the figures for social networks aim taken up the biggest part compared to 3 others in all the period. meanwhile, the opposite was true for calling purpose.
of the data gathered, almost half of youngsters interested in social networks in 2016. the percentage of them showed a slight fall (2%) in 2017 before rose to 56% in 2019. by contrast, phone calls, which was the least used feature, appealed 10% of teenagers to use in 2016. after that, this proportion growth to 13% in 2017 before reached a significant (5%) in 2019.
meanwhile, using email was the second popularity in 2016 with a quater of adolescents used them. this percentage tended to went down over the period and reached at 19% in 2019. in term of digital camera purpose, it remained in the year of 2016 and 2017 (15%) which followed by a slight rise to 20% in 2019
