The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram offers insight into the process of how sugar is made from sugar cane.
It is noticeable that there are seven main stages that are included in the process beginning with planting sugar canes and culminating in drying and cooling the sugar.
Looking at the diagram in more detail, firstly, the large number of sugar canes are grown before getting ready for the harvesting step. There are two kinds of harvesting sugar canes, such as using machines or by the hand of a human. After that, with the assistance of the crusher, canes are crushed into juice prior to being purified by the limestone filter. Afterward, the fifth stage is included the evaporator which uses heat to convert the juice into syrup.
As far as the process is concerned, after the syrup is ready, it is put in the centrifuge in order to separate the sugar crystals. Eventually, sugar is dried and cooled by the equipment.
