The pie chart conveys the total of electricity units produced in France and Australia between 1980 and 2000 categorized by several source of energies.
Overall, while electricities fueled by coal in Australia rose steeply, dominating the production, in France, most electricity units were generated by natural gas eventually. However, electricities using crude oil decreased in both nations. (31)
In 1980, electricity in Australia are dominated by coal energy which accounted for half of the total production, while those generated by petroleum became the least produced units. Whilst, the most-consumed energies for electricities in France were petroleum and natural gas which accounted for 25 each. However, France’s oil energy used in electricity was twice as higher as Australia's.
In the following 20 years, Australia held their coal and hydropower energy jumped by almost triple and double, respectively. Meanwhile, natural gas and fossil fuel were the least used energy for electricity. In France, nuclear power skyrocketed, dominating nearly 75% of total units. The use of natural gas and hydropower was only 2%, becoming the least favorite energy at the end of the year.
