The diagram below shows how chocolate is produced
The flow chart illustrates the process of chocolate production. It is clear that this process is relatively simple with 10 main steps. It begins with growing cacao tree and ends with producing liquid chocolate.
Looking at the process in more detail, cacao trees are grown in South America, Africa, and Indonesia, and then cacao pods are harvested in order to collect white cacao beans. Next, beans are fermented before being spread under the sunlight. After that, dried beans are put in large sacks, and then these sacks are transported by train or lorry.
At the next step in the process, these large sacks are taken to a factory, after which beans are put in a machine where they are roasted. Following this, roasted beans are crushed while outer shells are removed. Finally, inner parts are pressed by a machine to make liquid chocolate
