The pie charts below show the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.
The pie charts compare the percentages of energy produced from five different sources in France between the years 1995 and 2005.
It is clear that coal and gas were the most important sources of energy production in France from 1995 to 2005. By contrast, nuclear and other produced the least proportions of energy over the period shown.
In 1995, the proportion of energy produced from coal was 29.80%, and it increased to almost 31% in 2005. Similarly, there was an increase in the amount of energy production from gas from 29.63% to 30.31% between 1995 and 2005, a rise of around 1% over the period of 10 years.
The rest of the remaining energy production sources were nuclear, other, and petrol. From 1995 to 2005, energy production from nuclear and other increased by 5% in France. Petrol, however, was the only source of energy production which decreased from roughly 30% to around 20%, a fall of close to 10% in 10 years.
