The maps below show the changes that have taken place at the waterfront area of a town called Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
Given are two maps delineating the transformations of a residential area running along coastline in Darwin during a phase of 5 years, commencing from 2009 till 2014.
It is perceptible that the region experienced exponential alterations with the elimination of industrial areas as the main feature along with the addition of myriad amenities.
Over the mentioned years, the north of the map seemed barely modified except for the replacement of a swimming pool for the industrial zone which was encircled with a lake by a footpath. Meanwhile, the other amenities such as a conventional center, a school remained unchanged along a curved T-junction lining up from west to east and finishing at a fishing area.
Moving south, the manufacturing area was covered by more trees alongside a footpath after a 5-year renovation which led from the very left lane to the eastern harbor. In addition, three more residential buildings were constructed behind former ones simultaneously with a school to their west.
